4-Day EPA Asbestos Worker

This course is offered in English and Spanish.

The EPA requires this initial course for workers engaged in the abatement of asbestos-containing materials and who will not be the competent person. Classroom instruction is combined with practical hands-on activities to provide participants with a thorough understanding of the asbestos abatement workplace.

This course meets the AHERA, ASHARA and TSCA Title II Accreditation for asbestos workers. An AMA certificate is provided for each student upon successful completion of the course. Oral examinations are available upon request.

1-Day EPA Asbestos Inspector/ Management Planner Refresher

This annual refresher course is for individuals that have a current EPA AHERA inspector/management planner accreditation. Individuals with inspector/management planner accreditation must take both the inspector and management planner refresher.

This refresher course meets the AHERA, ASHARA and TSCA Title II Accreditation for asbestos inspectors. An AMA certificate is provided for each student upon successful completion of the course.

2-Day EPA Asbestos Management Planner

3-Day EPA AHERA Inspector is a prerequisite for this course.

The 3-day EPA AHERA Inspector certification course is a prerequisite for this course.  As required under EPA/AHERA and State of Maryland regulations, this course provides the information necessary to create an asbestos management plan and correctly assess the hazards of in-place management of asbestos-containing materials (ACM). An AMA certificate is provided for each student upon successful completion of the course.

4-Hour EPA Asbestos Inspector Refresher

This annual refresher course is for individuals that have a current EPA AHERA inspector accreditation. This course reviews the fundamentals of conducting an AHERA building asbestos inspection and provides students with the latest regulatory developments.  Topics presented in the initial course are also reviewed.

This refresher course meets the AHERA, ASHARA and TSCA Title II Accreditation for asbestos inspectors. An AMA certificate is provided for each student upon successful completion of the course.

3-Day EPA Asbestos Inspector

This initial course is required for any individual who may be required to take a bulk sample to determine the presence, or absence, of asbestos in a material. This course covers the essential skills of performing comprehensive asbestos inspections in schools, public buildings, and commercial buildings.

The course is based on the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) protocol and meets the AHERA, ASHARA and TSCA Title II Accreditation for asbestos inspectors.  Instruction in this program is provided by field-experience trainers and includes an inspection of a building. An AMA certificate is provided for each student upon successful completion of the course.

1-Day EPA Asbestos Supervisor Refresher

This annual refresher course is required for asbestos abatement supervisors to maintain their accreditations.  The course focuses on new state and Federal regulations, abatement methods and competent person responsibilities. The course will also review initial course topics.  Skill-building exercises and case studies are utilized to enhance the learning experience.

This refresher course meets the AHERA, ASHARA and TSCA Title II Accreditation for asbestos supervisors. An AMA certificate is provided for each student upon successful completion of the course.

5-Day EPA Asbestos Supervisor

This course is necessary for the accreditation of individuals to supervise an asbestos abatement project.  All persons who will serve as the competent person on an asbestos abatement project must take this course.  The supervisor course addresses EPA, OSHA, Maryland, Virginia and Delaware State regulations for asbestos abatement projects.  It is ideal training for building owners, regulatory officials, industrial technicians and safety officers who need to be knowledgeable of the details of abatement projects.

This course meets the AHERA, ASHARA and TSCA Title II Accreditation for asbestos.  All students participate in detailed hands-on activities and desktop scenarios. An AMA certificate is provided for each student upon successful completion of the course.

This course is ideal for general contractors, building owners, regulatory officials, industrial hygienists and safety officers who need to be knowledgeable on the details of an asbestos abatement project.

2- Hour Asbestos Awareness

This course is offered in English and Spanish.

This 2-hour course is required for all individuals who work in areas where they may contact asbestos.  It is designed to provide the “basics” on asbestos hazards in buildings, and applies to all school maintenance and custodial staff operating under EPA/AHERA and OSHA standards.

Note: This course provides the minimum level of training necessary for an individual to enter an asbestos regulated area, when combined with Respiratory Protection training.  An AMA certificate is provided for each student upon successful completion of the course.

This course is ideal for all maintenance and custodial staff.
