Todd M. Woerner, CSP, CHMM

President

Todd has been a part of the AMA team since 1995, earning the role of President and Chief Executive Officer of AMA in 2009. A Certified Safety Professional and Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), he brings more than 25 years of industry experience and business acumen to the role. In addition to providing strategic corporate direction, he remains actively involved in business development and technical projects. Todd is a retired officer from the Maryland Army National Guard and enjoys kayak fishing, reading (mostly novels) and traveling.

Gary L. Urban, CHMM

Vice President, Consulting

Bringing over 25 years experience in hazardous materials investigations, abatement design, and industrial hygiene, Gary is a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) with extensive environmental experience. Since joining AMA in 1992, he has managed complex projects involving asbestos, lead, PCBs, environmental site assessments, and indoor air quality. He develops technical plans, oversees abatement projects, and provides expert testimony, while also managing AMA’s quality control program for on-site PCM analysis. Outside the office, Gary is an avid fisherman and a shark at the poker table.

E. Rush Barnett, CIH, CSP, HEM

Senior Vice President, Director of Training

Rush is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), and Healthcare Environmental Manager (HEM) with decades of experience in occupational health, environmental management, and safety. He joined AMA in 1992 and now serves as Director of Training, developing and delivering EHS programs across the U.S. and internationally. An OSHA Outreach Instructor, Rush brings a customized approach to safety program development, drawing on past experience in the electronics and defense industries. Outside the office, you can often find him on a tennis court – unless it’s hunting season.

Julia Kogan, CPA

Controller

Julia joined AMA as Controller in November 2021, bringing over 20 years of financial management experience and dual degrees in Accounting and Economics. A licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA), she oversees AMA’s financial operations, including reporting, debt collection, and corporate accounting. Julia also plays a key role in HR functions, such as hiring and managing employee benefits and retirement plans. Outside of work, she enjoys tennis, hiking, and weekends at the beach.
