Environmental Project Coordinator / Assistant Project Manager – Asbestos, Lead & Industrial Hygiene

AMA, A Member of the EI Group, Inc. (AMA) is seeking a motivated environmental professional with experience in asbestos, lead-based paint, industrial hygiene, or hazardous building materials who is ready to take the next step in their career with projects throughout the Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) region.

This position is ideal for an individual who has developed strong technical field experience and is interested in expanding their responsibilities into project coordination, client interaction, proposal development, and project management. Working alongside experienced environmental professionals, the successful candidate will have opportunities for mentoring, professional development, and advancement within our growing firm.

The ideal candidate will have experience in performing or managing  hazardous building material surveys and investigations involving asbestos, lead-based paint, PCBs, radon, and other environmental hazards, as well as providing abatement oversight and air monitoring services. Additional experience with mold assessments, indoor air quality investigations, industrial hygiene monitoring, and occupational safety programs is highly desirable.

Industrial Hygienist

Aerosol Monitoring & Analysis, Inc. (AMA) has openings for Industrial Hygienists. A four year college degree in a science or environmental field and experience in the following areas is preferred, but not required: hazardous materials surveys including asbestos and lead; contractor monitoring and oversight; water intrusion investigations; indoor air quality; mold assessments; industrial hygiene; exposure monitoring; and safety and OSHA compliance audits. Candidates with NIOSH 582 Equivalent training are favorable.

Responsibilities: Technical activities related to projects including field work, data and sample collections, sample preparation, analysis and laboratory submittals, document research, contractor oversight and office work including preparation of technical reports.

Most of our work is in the Washington/Baltimore region. We have an accredited in-house training division and will provide the right candidate the appropriate training and certifications required for projects.
